It's PRT Friday!

This marks the end of the second week of my Super Serious PRT Training Program. My goal is to score an Outstanding High on the Navy's Physical Readiness Test (PRT). To do that I have to do at least 101 curl-ups in 2 minutes, 46 push-ups in 2 minutes, and run 1.5 miles in under 10 minutes, 17 seconds. I did:

Curl-ups: 104
Push-ups: 51
1.5 mile run: 13:20

While I'm happy that I squeaked into the Excellent category (by three seconds), I'm FREAKING OUT because that is a FIVE minute improvement on my last run time. (Count em! Not one or two or four but FIVE!) I may detail all the preparation I did for this run in another post, but I don't feel up to it today. For now I'm going to soak in the bath and feel smug.
